"Eh?!"
The "witch" looked around as she hold her cellphone on her right hand. She could swear a second ago she was telling her anime club friends that she was going to be late to the anime convention, and now she was in the middle of a large beach with many tropical trees behind her and only the sea in front of her.
"Am I dreaming!?"
She insisted a bit more with her cellphone before putting it inside the pockets of her witch costume. It was a very surreal place, almost as if it were a dream because not only it looked like a beach, it also had oddly placed artifacts like a turned upside down train and .... a crashed UFO? or at least that thing looked like a miniature UFO. Nevermind, she simply looked around looking for something, a clue that told her where she was.
"My cellphone is dead and I think I'm daydreaming, what's next, a dinosaur playing volleyball?"
This "dream" felt really realistic, but she was getting tired of it and wanted to wake up, so out of frustration kicked a palm tree, which was ... actually metallic and made quite the noise. Exactly why would she dream with metallic trees from all things here? She even tried pinching her cheek but nothing happened.
"Ahh .. I want to wake up!!!"

The girl indeed ended up on a small shore that borderlined with a forest of various weird trees and such, mostly exotic ones, like a type of jungle. However, if she thought the beach was abandoned, she made a mistake. She was so close to jungle, and jungles always had ... mean, huge, clawy creatures around, looking for something weak and juicy to chew on. And the girl could be considered just a treat like that. She shouldn't have hit that metal tree, the echoing metallic noise attracted ... predators...
Heavy steps and grunts were heard from the bushes, as well as heavy, violent breathing, if such a word could even be applied to describe breathing. Something feral was approaching, and anyone who ever watched Jurassic Park would have been running away like hell at these sounds. And in a few moments, the girl would find out exactly why. The next moment, a horrible roar was heard across the small beach, instilling fear into the bravest of hearts, chilling to the bone. How would the little girl fare in this situation? The monster was out there somewhere, it's silhouette shifting in the shadows of the jungle, but the beast was yet to be seen...

"!!!"
She so busy whining about her current situation that it took her by surprise when a loud roar made everything tremble and the trees near the inclined themselves towards the beach, letting many of their leaves fall in direction to the ocean. Some odd-looking birds took flight from the trees as well during the time the roar lasted and the movement within the water indicated that the marine life was leaving the vicinities of the beach to find protection in deeper waters. Clearly that wasn't a mere roar that could be ignored.
"A wild animal!"
She thought and ran away from the trees and went further into the beach. Alas, there was nothing but sand and more sand wherever she went and all she did was to corner herself against a rocky formation that prevented from advancing, the alternative was to get inside the tree area, but then that would be like asking to be devoured by a wild animal, most like a bear or a lion she thought.
"Waait, this is a dream, I don't have to run away!"
Believing this to be a dream, she moved away from the rocky cliffs and into the middle of the beach, trapped between the trees and the ocean with no place where to escape.
"Come out, whatever you are!"
Hehehe, this was a dream, right? there was no reason to get all excited about an encounter with a wild animal. What's more, this wacky dream was bound to end if she died within the dream. SURELY NOTHING WRONG THAT GOING TO HAPPEN BY THINKING LIKE THAT

Boy, the girl should have ran... Calling THAT THING a "wild animal" was a huge, no, HUGE understatement. Because all bears, lions, wolves and what not would have pissed themselves and ran away like little girls... Basically, that was what she should have done. Dreams, eh? YOU FRIKKEN PINCHED YOURSELF AND DID NOT WAKE UP?! RUN LASSIE! RUN! Shame, she did not listen. Oh well, might as well deserved her fate.
Another roar shook the ground when the girl did not run away, but instead foolishly plunged forward, and, what was worse, CALLED OUT for the monstrous creature to come to her. Poor, poor, foolish child. Did she not watch movies? Never think you cannot die in your dreams, because you can, and for real. And this statement would soon prove to be true, as the monster followed the voice to come out of the shadows, to reveal itself at last...
Why would lions and tigers sh*t themselves and run away, you might ask? Because the monster that came around was a giant flipping Greymon, aka BIG, SCARY, HUNGRY dinosaur. And the girl, instead of running away, stayed? Woe is she. The dino was a bit stumped by his prey's dumb reaction as well, he expected some sort of a chase, but instead of screaming and running for her life the girl just stared at him. The monster figured she was in shock of some sort, what else would explain such stupid behavior.
- *RAWR!* - he let out a soundwave that was able to crack glass and knock people off their feet, right in front of the poor defenseless girl, letting her see inside of his gaping maw, those horrible teeth that were made to carve into flesh, and that horrible breath as well...

"Whaat? A dinosaur!"
When she had dreams, they usually were about mundane things like being popular or living in a paradisaic island, but one with a friggin yellow and stripped dinosaur? she must've been watching one too many movies and anime lately to dream with things like that.
"Ewww ..."
Now she was knocked on the ground, covered with dinosaur saliva and smelled horrible due being exposed to the monster's bad breath. Normal AND SMART humans would've ran away by now, but not this girl who believed that situation to be an odd dream, she immediately stand up, picked some sand and tossed it inside the still open mouth of the digimon, just to give him something to eat.
"That will make your breath less disgusting, dreamsaurus rex!"
Then she ran again after the rocky cliffs nearby using that sandy distraction and attempted to climb it. It was really tiring for an average girl like her and when she was almost there, she lost the grip on the irregular way and fell on a the sand below, injuring herself ... and bleeding from a wound in one of her arms that got slightly rasped against the very wall she was climbing.
".. this is not a dream?"
The pain ... it was too real, and the blood really felt like blood ... this couldn't be a mere dream, she was genuinely facing a dinosaur. In dream you never feel anything even if you get hurt or outright die, but the pain and the small bleeding proved that this either was the most realistic dream EVER, or that she was inside a world where fantasy mixes with reality, where dinosaurs exists and 2+2 can be equal to cake. This was really her "warm welcome" to the digital world and she could only see with an expression of horror in her face how the dinosaur was once again going after her, and this time she was verily aware of what could happen if the beast got her .. om nom nom.

Well, they say the smartest one survives and the dimmest one dies, when it comes to natural selection. Darwin's law says so, and the girl was about to become a perfect example of why it is so. She was given not one, but TWO chances to run away, and she did not make use of them. Shame, really. A human, superior being in terms of intellect, would die like a fly. Shame, shame. Oh well, guess that was her fate, to become chow for a hungry dinosaur.
The powerful carnivorous beast ignored that handful of sand the girl tossed in his mouth, he had worse, and his jaws clanked closed only inches away from her head as the girl FINALLY figured it was her cue to run away, and this was why her head was not bit off this instant. She tried to climb up a small rock formation, but failed miserably doing it, falling to the ground again. The dinosaur was not far behind.
- *RAWR!* - the creature roared, as it cornered the puny earthling, cutting off any way for retreat with its body. There was nowhere left to run, and there was no one to save her. No superman, no night in shiny armor, no samurai with tank-piercing katana. This was it. The carnivorous beast slowly plunged his head forward, jaws opened, meaning to devour the girl as a whole...

"*sigh*, another day passes, another day without finding that one person ..."
An impmon was quietly sitting on top of the beach cliff the girl was trying to climb, he was quietly reading some books he acquired about the world outside file island and about those legendary creatures known as humans. He couldn't remember how or why, but he felt like the person he was waiting for was a human, something in his digicore told him that a female human was the target of his endless wait as he reacted towards a portrait of a human girl drawn into the book.
Such was his lifestyle, forever waiting at top of the cliff, endlessly looking at the ocean while he reads any book he can get on his hands. It was a day like any other and like any other day, good ol greymon made himself present. By now everybody knew that ol Grey lurked behind the palm trees and the nearby forest, so it was no surprise to hear him roar at this time of the day, that was the signal all smaller digimon needed to know it was a good idea to find a safe place.
"old Grey is being louder than usual, I wonder what's going on .."
Yeah, that animalistic greymon was nicknamed by the Coela Beach inhabitants "old grey" because he had been hunting in the beach for ages and somehow never evolved despite constantly fighting for food. Some thought it was due his low IQ, others thought that he simply wasted too much energy roaring and thrashing instead of actually fighting, no matter what the cause was, the greymon was still a greymon and despite how much of a brute he was, he was still part of the beach's charm and it would be a real shame if somebody deleted him.
The impmon left his books behind and looked below the cliff. There he was, old grey as usual roaring and rampaging .... but there was something unusual this time, there was somebody cornered against the cliff that wasn't a common digimon. IT WAS A HUMAN!
"A-a human ....and she looks like .."
His digicore ached as he tried to remember what made him feel so attached to that human. It couldn't be her hair, it was pink and actually the girl had dyed it to fit better in the cosplay contest, neither could be her face, which had asiatic features unlike the european ones of the lover of the impmon's past life .... the clothes! they looked like something that slightly resembled the ones that special somebody wore! The impmon suddenly felt a strong desire to save that human girl .... and actually that wasn't really that weird, he was used to help digimon being bullied by Old Grey, but this time IT WAS PERSONAL
The imp digimon jumped out of the cliff and landed right on the helmet-like part of the greymon's head, then he started to punch him in the back side of his head and started a little fire on it as well. It wasn't going to actually injury old grey, but at least that would prove to be annoying enough to make him reconsider the target of his wrath.
Meanwhile, the human girl continued being in a state of shock, she was still trying to assimilate the situation and simply curled supporting her back against the cliff's walls, looking at the show featuring the impmon and the greymon.

The Greymon was about to close his jaws on the poor shivering creature that was the foolish girl, but, unfortunately, failed to do so, because of a very convenient set of events. Truthful is the saying that idiots are often lucky, and Darvin frowns upon that saying greatly. Regardless, now the feral digimon was more considered with that shrimp of an Impmon on his head starting fires, than about that girl who curled in a ball on the ground.
- *GRAAAAWR!* - the IQ-less digimon roared out as he dashed and jumped like a wild kazoo, aiming to throw the imp down from his head, a common tactic when someone wished to "take a ride" on the creature, not that many dared of course. Wait, tactic is not a right word. More of a natural instinct. Getting more rageful by the minute, the angry dinosaur then smashed his head against the rock formation, wishing to render the damned purple digimon flat.

"Whoa!"
Suddenly the greymon started to thrash and smash anything randomly as usual, this time with the goal of getting rid of the "flea" that was annoying him greatly. The impmon tightly grabbed with his arms the horn of the powerful dinosaur digimon as massive digimon ran from place to place.
"Move out of there!"
He insisted shouting at the girl, but she was still in shock and the impish digimon himself was in danger: the dinosaur now was charging against the very rocky formation in which the human girl was supporting as she remained immobile. The impmon wished he were more athletic and jumped out of the greymon's head as soon he got closer to the cliff and fell right not very far from the girl. His desperate jump was kinda bad and he fell head on over the sand, comically waving his hands and legs as he pushed himself out of the sand, then he went towards the girl to quickly pick and take her out of the danger zone.
"Come, he will continue hunting us as soon he recovers from the head smash!"
" ... Wait, you are a devil!"
Just great, she finally reacted but only after the impmon forcefully picked her arm, and she didn't take well the fact that she was being dragged out of the beach by a midget that looked like he was a mischievous devil of the kind that lulls you into a false sense of security only to back-stab you when you least expect it. Needless to say, she reacted badly and left the mark of her fist into the impmon's face and raw towards the palm trees, seeking refuge from both dinosaur and imp within the group of trees.
"Oww ..."
His nose was bleeding from the punch right into his face, but insisted in following the girl, she knew nothing about the digital world and was going to get herself killed if she refused to accept the help of nice digimon like him, who had more reasons that simply being a good digimon to want to be next to her ...

- Le RAWR! - the dinosaur sounded particularly french for some reason, after hitting his head on a stone, which threw him off on confusion for a little while. His skull was thick, but stone was even thicker. The greymon rubbed his head with its short "hands", as the impact from the hit passed. Fortunately, he didn't get a concussion, since one must have something to suffer a concussion inside that thick skull of his.
He didn't quite catch where the two disappear, but he didn't need to. Not with the smell. Both were bleeding - the girl had a bleeding arm, and the impmon - nose. So he kinda knew where to go, however, that did not stop him from acting in a most Leeroy Jenkins fashion. Without a single thought, the greymon stampeded into the forest, knocking down trees as he went, making so much noise all of the File Island could have heard him coming...

Epilogue:
And so, the strange duo went deeper into the forest and farther away from the beach, relentlessly pursued by a dinosaur who acquired a French accent after crashing against a tougher than his skull stone. Things like that could only happen in the digital world ...
In the next episode of "Witches and Wizards" .. TERROR! The land of giants! You know you are in the wrong place when insects are in comparison giant and you are like a tiny flea in front of them. Learn how our odd couple learns how to deal with the situation, in the forest, in the same channel!
