"Civilization!"
After spending around three days in the desert, even the old fashioned buildings of this city of digimon looked like the most modern metropolis in her eyes, she was even ignoring the fact all the inhabitants of the city were those strange creatures known as digimon and was very glad she could finally rest in a decent place.
"I'm so tired! Let's find a place where to rest"
"Let's see ... I think we have enough money to afford an inn"
He had some of the digital world currency, which would be enough to spend a night in an inn if the cost were the average one for inns, but just in case they didn't have enough money, he looked at the renamon that recently was exiled out of the desert, he might have some spare change and cover some of the expenses.
"Soren, do you have some extra money? If we are going to travel together we need to share the expenses and get more travel supplies."

"Civilization" - the renamon thought with irony as they were approaching something that looked like a city from afar. Soren did not remember which city it was - the exile tended to erase memories of the ast at a frightening scale. There, being confound in everyday problems of survival, one can never concentrate on the past, and it slowly faded away, like photos, which with age would become dimmer, and dimmer, until nothing can be made out of them... Non the less, the renamon remembered what was it like in a big city, more precisely, at the bottom of it...
The city here was always a city of contrast between gold and dirt, richness and poverty, luxury and misery. Like a fiest in the middle of the plague, the richer ones restricted themselves to the gleaming spires of the center of the city, while on the outskirts dwelled those who were less fortunate, less wealthy and powerful. And, of course, the lower city was always a wretched hive of scum and villainy, since many, out of hunger, misery, or revenge, decided to take the life of crime. That Soren remembered well, if anything.
- I'm broke, in the desert we had no currency... I can steal some, if required... Or find a job. Teoretically. I haven't been to a city in like, forever. For obvious reasons. - he replied. The reason was obvious - exile. And he felt and sounded very reluctant about going to the city in the first place. He was a criminal, after all. Still wearing those bandages as cover. If someone discovered his secret ... he'd be in trouble. The two he traveled with obviously did not care, having heard of him being called "murderer" at least two times, but a local guard surely would care...
- Anyway, it is your call. Aside from guiding through desert... I know little in terms of labor... Maybe I should learn, but tis your call...

"I see ... well then, maybe we should try finding an income source for some quick cash while we are here, back in the forest where I grew up, money wasn't needed but in the city everything revolves around money"
Cities were something really convenient in the digital world, many digimon could live together and thanks to the stores and security there was no reason to go hunting for food or to fight for your life, however that came at the cost of living under the nasty rules of "capitalism", an economical system that was rumored to be introduced by a human in which goods and services are traded by an universal currency and in which the ones with more money are the ones with more power instead of the most evolved being the rulers. With enough money, even a rookie digimon can boss around mega level digimon.
"Whatever, I'm tired and need a good bed and a shower, and you two better take a shower too!"
Manabi cared not for how odd was for capitalism to exist in the digital world and simply wanted to satisfy her desires for comfort, her skin was starting to lose its softness and delicateness and she was starting to smell bad after spending so many days sweating under the heat of the desert. She went ahead the two digimon and looked around looking for an inn, funny enough there was stores and a few homes ... although judging by the appearances they were in the poor side of the city due how poor looked the buildings and the stores had few supplies.
"Even this world has poverty? *sigh*, it only looks like my world in the bad things"

- I haven't took a shower in ages... - the renamon laughed raspily at the girl's demand. In fact, he wouldn't mind, no, he wouldn't mind that at all - after severe life in the desert drowning in a tub full of precious water was like going to heaven for an hour. But they'd have to find said inn first, and rent a room, even the worst one - it was still better than nothing. Soren needed to find a way to earn some money - being self-proclaimed most capable party member after all, or so he thought. Irmgard didn't look like he could do much, and the girl failed to do anything but complain a lot.
- Anyhow, whatever money impy has will only be enough for a night, after that we'll have to find jobs. Wanabee here could work as a waitress maybe, I can ... find some shady work around. Irmgard ... uh, what exactly can you do? - the renamon was a bit puzzled - the small impish digimon did not look like he was suited for much manual labour, and the renamon did not know if he had any useful skills to get a job.
Oh and he completely forgot that the girl was here hoping to find some other humans... Tough luck, it was unlikely she'd find any here... But they may find something else...
